The teaser of Kannada actor Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has landed in trouble. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Women’s Wing has filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, saying the teaser shows objectionable scenes.
The teaser was released on January 8, the same day as Yash’s 40th birthday. It became popular quickly because of its stylish look and bold visuals. One short scene showing Yash with a woman inside a car upset some viewers.
According to reports, the AAP Women’s Wing said the visuals are inappropriate and can have a bad effect on women, children, and local culture. The party has asked the Commission to order the removal of the teaser from social media and take action against such content. They also demanded stricter rules for film promotions.
AAP leader Usha Mohan said the teaser was released without any age warning, which exposes children to unsuitable scenes and harms the dignity of women.
The Karnataka State Women’s Commission has accepted the complaint and is reviewing it. No final decision has been announced yet.
