Pakistani actress Ramsha Khan, known for her versatile performances and graceful on-screen presence, is continuing to make her mark in the entertainment industry. From her debut in Thora Jee Le (2017) to acclaimed dramas like Mah-e-Tamaam, Kaisa Hai Naseeban, Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, and the recent Duniyapur, Khan has proven her range as one of the leading faces of Pakistani television.
In an exclusive conversation with Connect Cine, the Sinf-e-Aahan and Hum Tum star opened up about changing audience perceptions and the evolution of romance in Pakistani dramas. Known for her clarity and confidence, Khan spoke candidly about how depictions of love and relationships are slowly becoming more realistic on screen.
“Bollywood has always been known for its intimate romance, but in Pakistan, things are more subtle—very ankhon ankhon mein,” she said with a laugh. “We’re getting there though. People are starting to accept progression.”
Reflecting on her experience while shooting the drama Biryani, Ramsha shared how even a simple moment of on-screen closeness sparked discussion. “I faced the same question during Biryani, where people talked about a hand-holding or hug scene. But I believe this is what real college romance looks like—partners are close to each other in real life,” she explained.
The actress believes that Pakistani audiences are gradually embracing a more open yet culturally grounded portrayal of love. “We’re evolving in our storytelling, and the change will come soon. People will learn to accept a certain degree of on-screen closeness without overreacting,” she added.
With her thoughtful insights and fearless attitude, Ramsha Khan continues to represent the new wave of Pakistani actors who balance tradition with modernity—both in their craft and conversation.
