Sunny Deol Unveils 'Border 2' Poster on Independence Day

This Independence Day, Sunny Deol reignited Bollywood nostalgia by unveiling the first poster of Border 2, a sequel to the legendary 1997 war film. The original, set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, resonated with audiences as a symbol of patriotism. Now, 27 years later, Deol returns in uniform, armed with a bazooka, ready to honor the soldiers protecting the nation.

On India’s 79th Independence Day, he shared the intense poster, showcasing himself mid-battle, with soldiers proudly carrying the National Flag behind him. Deol's accompanying message on social media, “Hindustan ke liye ladenge… phir ek baar!" announced the film’s release date: January 22, 2026.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features an impressive cast, including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta, the sequel aims to capture the essence of its predecessor while introducing fresh drama, action, and emotion.
