Sonu Nigam calls out Rajasthan CM

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam recently took to social media to address a disheartening incident that occurred during a concert in Rajasthan. The event, Rising Rajasthan, saw the singer delivering a heartfelt message to politicians, including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, regarding their behavior during the show.

After the event, Sonu Nigam shared a video on Instagram to highlight the issue. In the video, he expressed his disappointment with the Rajasthan CM and other political figures for leaving the concert in the middle of his performance. He called their actions disrespectful not only to the artists but also to Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and arts.

Sonu said, “During the concert, several politicians, including CM sahab, the sports minister, and the youth minister, were in attendance. I was shocked to see CM sahab and others get up halfway through the show and leave. Following them, more delegates followed suit. My humble request to politicians is that if you cannot respect artists, then who will?”

In the caption accompanying the video, Sonu wrote, “A humble request to all the respected politicians of India: Please refrain from attending any performance if you plan to leave abruptly. It is a sign of disrespect to art, to artists, and to Maa Saraswati.”
