Smriti Irani starts shooting amidst Z security

Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani is making a dramatic return to the small screen nearly two decades after she stepped away from acting. Best known for her iconic role as Tulsi Virani in the cult classic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti has reportedly begun shooting for the show's much-anticipated second season.

The production is being handled with an extraordinary level of secrecy and security. According to reports, filming has commenced under Z+ security the highest level of protection granted in India. With security personnel closely guarding the sets, mobile phones are being sealed with tape to prevent any leaks or spoilers from reaching the outside world. Only a select few, including Smriti Irani herself, co-star Amar Upadhyay (who plays Mihir), and producer Ekta Kapoor, are exempt from the phone restrictions.

Originally airing from 2000 to 2008, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, one thing is clear—this is not just a comeback; it’s a television event in the making.
