Popular reality television star and actress Shehnaaz Gill has officially begun shooting for her next Punjabi film, Singh vs Kaur 2, a romantic comedy featuring Gippy Grewal in the lead role alongside her. The film is currently being shot in Punjab, and Shehnaaz recently gave fans a sneak peek into the shoot by sharing lively behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram, which quickly stirred excitement among her followers.

The movie is a sequel to the hit film Singh vs Kaur, which starred Gippy Grewal, Surveen Chawla, and Japji Khaira. Returning to direct the follow-up is Navaniat Singh, though the makers have yet to confirm an official release date.

Gippy also took to social media to share a post from the set, adding a cheeky caption in Punjabi: “Pehli war koi kudi nu munda jacheya,” adding to the buzz around the film.

The original Singh vs Kaur was a commercial success and was even remade in Bengali as Romeo vs Juliet, featuring Ankush Hazra and Mahiya Mahi.

This new project marks Shehnaaz and Gippy’s second major on-screen collaboration after their 2019 romantic drama.

In addition to Singh vs Kaur 2, Shehnaaz Gill has more projects lined up. She will be seen opposite Varun Sharma in the comedy-drama Sab First Class, directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, who is known for the thriller series CAT. The release date for Sab First Class is still under wraps.

Shehnaaz also has another Punjabi film, Ikk Kudi, in the pipeline, promising a busy year ahead for the actress.
