Based on page views from over 250 million monthly users worldwide, IMDb ranked the top 20 upcoming Indian films of the year. The list features a strong mix of industries, including 10 Hindi films, five Telugu films, three Tamil films, one Malayalam film, and one Kannada film, reflecting the wide-ranging excitement across Indian cinema.

Claiming the top spot is Shah Rukh Khan’s King, making it the most awaited film of 2026. The film is especially significant as it marks SRK’s return to theatres after a three-year break, his last appearance being Dunki in 2023.

Following closely behind is Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Part 1 in second place, while Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, believed to be his final film, secures the third spot. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri ranks fourth, and Yash’s Toxic rounds out the top five. Notably, Yash appears twice on the list, as he also plays Ravana in Ramayana Part 1.

With such star-studded projects on the horizon, 2026 is already shaping up to be a blockbuster year for Indian cinema.
