In a bizarre twist of fate, the online world has erupted in laughter over Saurabh Dwivedi's over-the-top performance in the new Netflix film Kartavya, starring Saif Ali Khan. The journalist-turned-actor’s hammy portrayal has not only drawn criticism toward him but has also reignited the infamous debate about who deserves the title of ‘Best Worst Actor.’ Many netizens are now suggesting that the crown has shifted from Arjun Kapoor to Dwivedi.
Dwivedi, a prominent Hindi journalist who recently led the news channel Lallantop, made his acting debut alongside notable actors like Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Mishra, only to come across as somewhat ‘cartoonish’ in his role.
As a result, Arjun Kapoor finds himself on the receiving end of online trolling, despite having nothing to do with Dwivedi’s performance. Memes and posts circulating on X include witty comments such as, “My admiration for Arjun Kapoor grew after witnessing Saurabh Dwivedi in action” and “Tough luck for Arjun Kapoor, as the title of ‘Best Worst Actor’ has officially been passed on.”
The internet can be a strange place, right!
