Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has taken the No. 1 spot on IMDb as the most popular Indian film of 2025, while Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, led the list of web series, the platform announced.
IMDb released its lineup of the most popular Indian films and shows, based on page views from more than 250 million monthly visitors worldwide, reflecting global curiosity and engagement.
The list also includes the animated hit Mahavatar Narsimha at No. 2, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava at No. 3, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 at No. 4, and Rajinikanth’s Coolie at No. 5. The selections span five Hindi films, two Tamil titles, and one each from Kannada and Malayalam cinema.
Leading the series category was Aryan Khan’s The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. Vikramaditya Motwane’s Black Warrant and Sudip Sharma’s Paatal Lok Season 2 took second and third place, while fan-favourite Panchayat Season 4 claimed fourth.
Psychological thrillers Mandala Murders and Khauf stood at fifth and sixth, ahead of Special Ops Season 2 and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. New seasons of The Family Man and Criminal Justice rounded out the top ten.
