Things are moving fast in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Soon after Rajput’s father K K Singh filed the first information report (FIR) against Rhea and others alleging also that she also unlawfully confined his son and committed criminal breach of trust, Rhea Chakraborty made her move.

The actress approached the Supreme Court seeking transfer of investigation to Mumbai from Patna, in a case lodged against her and others for allegedly abetting Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide.

Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde confirmed that a petition has been filed for transfer of probe from Patna to Mumbai. Satish cleared that as per law two investigations into the same set of facts and allegations cannot take place. He stated that since the Mumbai police is investigating the case under section 174 of criminal procedure code (CrPC) the second FIR lodged at the instance of Rajput’s family should be transferred to Mumbai.

In the FIR, Sushant’s father has accused Rhea, her family members and some associates of cheating his son, Sushant Singh Rajput. The father alleged that Sushant had told him that he was unable to do anything while they all wanted to confine him to a mental asylum. Singh had also alleged that in the last one year Rs 15 crore out of Rs 17 crore were transferred from Sushant’s bank accounts to some other bank accounts not belonging to his son. He had also alleged that on June 8 Rhea left Sushant’s Bandra residence with laptop, cash, jewellery, credit cards, documents related to his treatment after Sushant had opposed her. The father said that Sushant wanted to buy land in South India and do farming but Rhea opposed this and threatened to leak his medical records. Singh alleged that Rhea was overdosing him.
