Ransom Shock for B Praak: Singer Threatened With ₹10 Crore Demand, Police Step In

Bollywood- Punjabi playback singer and music composer B Praak, who has firmly established himself as a celebrated name in the Hindi film industry, has reportedly received a chilling ransom threat demanding ₹10 crore. The incident has sent shockwaves through the music fraternity and raised serious security concerns.

According to reports, the Mohali police have registered an extortion case at the Sohana police station against Arju Bishnoi and several unidentified individuals. The case pertains to an alleged attempt to extort a massive sum of money from the award-winning singer.

The threat did not come to B Praak directly. Instead, the caller—who identified himself as Arju Bishnoi, allegedly linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang-contacted Punjabi singer Dilnoor, a close friend of B Praak. The call was made on January 6, followed by a voice message clearly spelling out the ransom demand.

Dilnoor, shaken by the call, immediately approached the police. In his complaint, he stated that the caller instructed him to inform B Praak to pay ₹10 crore within a week, warning of severe consequences if the demand was ignored.

The incident comes at a time when B Praak has been enjoying both professional success and personal milestones. Having carved a strong space for himself in Bollywood with chart-topping songs, the singer has also been sharing glimpses of his personal life with fans. Off late, B Praak has posted videos of himself building his new house, giving followers a peek into his dream home—making the timing of the threat even more unsettling.
