Melania Trump’s latest documentary traces the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration, offering viewers an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait of the former First Lady during a politically significant period.
Before its public release, the film received a closed-door screening at the White House on January 24. The private showing was attended by Donald Trump, Melania Trump, their son Barron, and a carefully selected circle of notable invitees.
The project is helmed by director Brett Ratner and produced by Fernando Sulichin and Marc Beckman, with Melania Trump also taking on a producer’s role. The documentary is being distributed by Amazon MGM Studios.
However, the film’s reception in the UK has been underwhelming. As reported by The Guardian, advance ticket sales in London have been sluggish, with only a small number of seats booked across both independent theaters and large cinema chains.
Despite the muted response overseas, expectations remain high for the documentary’s US debut, which is still being positioned as a major, star-studded premiere event.
