Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh has received another alleged death threat, according to claims circulating on social media, as police review an audio recording attributed to a member of the Bambiha gang.
The recording, widely shared online, is said to feature gangster Lucky Patial claiming responsibility for targeting Aulakh and warning that the singer “is next.” The authenticity of the audio has not been independently verified by authorities.
According to information tied to the same claims, the alleged threat surfaced a day after a shooting in Mohali’s Sector 9, where property dealer Chamanpreet was shot multiple times. The attack was later claimed in a social media post attributed to Patial. Police have not publicly confirmed the identity of the shooter or the source of the post.
Punjab Police said an investigation is ongoing into both the shooting and the circulating threat material. It is not yet clear whether the two incidents are directly connected.
Aulakh has previously reported receiving threats and is known to have security protection. Connect Newsroom contacted the singer’s representatives for comment. No response was received by publication time.
