Punjabi singer and actor Amar Noori has reported receiving a threatening phone call, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of artists and the growing issue of anonymous threats.
According to the complaint filed with police, the caller identified himself as Inspector Gurmeet Singh and issued a warning to Amar Noori. The caller allegedly told her that her son, who is involved in music and singing, should immediately stop his work or face serious consequences.
Disturbed by the threat, Amar Noori contacted the police without delay. Based on her statement, a case has been registered against an unidentified individual, and efforts are underway to verify the identity of the caller and the credibility of the threat.
DSP Mohit Singla said police are treating the matter seriously. He added that investigators are examining call detail records to trace the source of the call and assured that the accused will be arrested once identified.
Police have urged the public to report any form of threat or intimidation promptly so that timely action can be taken.
