Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar found dead in Karachi apartment

Pakistani television and film actress Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her Karachi apartment this week, with police believing she passed away around October 2024 nearly nine months ago.

Her severely decomposed body was discovered after the landlord filed a complaint over unpaid rent. Police entered the flat to find it abandoned, with no electricity, dry pipes, expired food, and rusted kitchen items indicating a long period of neglect. A balcony door left open may have prevented strong odors from alerting neighbors, while the only other apartment on her floor remained unoccupied.

Investigators confirmed her last phone activity dated back to October 2024. Neighbours reported last seeing her around September or October.

Humaira began her acting career in 2015 with roles in Just Married, Ehsaan Faramosh, and Guru. She appeared in the film Jalaibee and gained wider recognition on the reality show Tamasha Ghar. In 2023, she was honored as Best Emerging Talent at the National Woman Leadership Awards.
