Recently, the internet was flooded with news stories claiming the Jaane Tu… Jaane Na actor Imran Khan is set to finally make his comeback in Bollywood. While the news spread a wave of happiness among fans, it’s unfortunate that the news is not true.
It was reported that Imran Khan will be seen leading Aamir Khan’s upcoming film ‘Happy Patel’, directed by Vir Das. However, now an exclusive report by the Times of India has put a full stop to all the rumours by confirming the news to be fake.
Imran Khan revealed to the portal that Vir Das will be directing and acting in Happy Patel. Imran said, “It’s not true. Vir Das is directing and starring in Happy Patel. I’m not in the film. They have just used a photograph of me as part of an in-film joke.”
Imran Khan also went on to express his reaction to the viral news as he said, “I have never stopped being amazed at how these stories get blown out of context.”
Coming to the details of the film, Happy Patel is said to be a laugh riot also starring Mona Singh in a pivotal role. For now, more details about the project have been kept under wraps and are not officially unveiled by the film’s team.
