Mika Singh has taken a public swipe at fellow singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh following the overseas release of Sardaar Ji 3, which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The move comes in the wake of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, prompting Mika to express his disapproval over collaborating with Pakistani talent during heightened India-Pakistan tensions.
Without naming Diljit Dosanjh directly, Mika posted an Instagram story with a collage of the two artists, making his target obvious. Labeling him a “fake singer,” Mika criticized the timing of the release and questioned the ethics of involving cross-border artists when the nation's emotions are still raw.
“Desh pehle (Nation first),” Mika wrote. “When the situation between India and Pakistan is strained, such decisions are not just irresponsible—they’re insensitive.” He also cited the backlash against Fawad Khan’s shelved film Abir Gulaal as a precedent that should’ve served as a warning.
Referring to Diljit’s massive Dil-Luminati world tour, Mika added, “After selling thousands of tickets and gaining love from Indian fans, this ‘fake singer’ disappears—leaving fans confused and disappointed.”
As of now, Diljit Dosanjh has not responded to the controversy. But one thing is clear—Mika Singh isn’t mincing his words.
