Popular actor and comedian Kapil Sharma received death threats through an unknown email and the artist has reported the same at Amboli Police Station, Mumbai.

Reportedly, the email’s tone was alarming and signed by the name ‘BISHNU’. As reported by NDTV, the email said, "We are monitoring your recent activities, and we believe it is important that we bring to your attention a sensitive matter. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you. We urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality."

the Amboli Police registered an FIR against the unknown email sender under section 351(3) of the Bombay Police Act. Police also revealed that the email was traced back to a server in Pakistan. The investigation has already begun but the sender's identity is still unknown.

Earlier, other celebrities including Rajpal Yadav, Sugandha Mishra, and Remo D'Souza have also received similar emails in recent weeks.
