The Censor Board has given the certificate to the film amid protests against Kangana Ranaut's film emergency in Punjab, but it will now be released in a few weeks after several cuts and changes.

The Censor Board has ordered the removal of three scenes from the film, as well as strict instructions that 10 changes be made to the film before its release, most of which are scenes that were objected to by Sikh organisations.

The Censor Board has asked to present the source on the controversial statements shown in the film Emergency.
