Social media influencer Sukhpreet Singh, widely known as Sukh Ratia, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a brutal contract killing in Navi Mumbai. The 24-year-old, who boasts over 525,000 Instagram followers, is accused of murdering a woman for ₹5 lakh on orders from another woman linked to the victim's husband.

According to police, Sukh and his cousin Gurpreet Singh stalked the target before slitting her throat in public on May 18. The murder was premeditated and caught on CCTV. Sukh had bought the knife online and tracked the victim’s movements beforehand.

The Noida STF, acting on a tip, arrested the duo near Ghant Chowk in Greater Noida and handed them over to Navi Mumbai Police. Authorities say financial desperation and the lure of online fame may have motivated the crime.

The suspects are now facing charges under IPC sections 103(1) and 61(2).
