Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has announced an exhilarating return for his groundbreaking crime-drama epic, Gangs of Wasseypur (GOW), to Indian cinemas. The news, revealed on Kashyap’s Instagram, has ignited excitement among film enthusiasts who have revered the movie since its original release in 2012.

The re-release, scheduled from August 30 to September 5, provides a rare chance for fans to experience the raw, intense narrative and memorable characters that have cemented the film’s status as a cult classic. Gangs of Wasseypur revolutionized Indian cinema with its gritty portrayal of power struggles and its innovative storytelling. Kashyap’s post teased, "In three days the Gang will be back again, GOW back in cinemas," highlighting the film's enduring impact. To enhance accessibility, tickets will be available at a modest price of Rs. 149, ensuring that a new generation of viewers can witness this cinematic landmark.
