Actress Sahiba Bali who played a young journalist in Imtiaz Ali’s recently released movie Chamkila is bathing in appreciation for her role. The actress recently sat for an interview with our host Faridoon Shahryar and talked about her experience and learnings from the project.

As she talked about the film, Chamkila and prospectives, she also talked about Diljit Dosanjh and the experience of meeting the superstar on the film’s sets. On being asked about Diljit’s superstardom and success, Sahiba said, “I can’t tell you what a great experience it was, because before being his co-actor, I was a huge fan. Since years, I’ve been a huge Diljit fan. On the day that we were shooting this, I was extremely excited about finally meeting him and talking to him.”

She also revealed her experience working with Diljit and said that she failed to recognise the actor for almost half an hour. She said, “He’s flamboyant, humorous, has so much energy. But I was on set, sitting next to a co-actor, looking around, waiting for Diljit to arrive with a bang. I didn’t realise that the co-actor sitting next to me for the past half an hour was Diljit. He was so quiet, he was so zen, he was in his zone. He was just sitting quietly, waiting for the shot. And then I realised he was Diljit, so I started talking to him. He was in a meditative state, so disciplined and focused. I couldn’t believe it was the same Diljit, the singer and the performer.”

Diljit undoubtedly enjoys a massive fan following, and Sahiba surely has revealed a lot about his off-screen personality. While the actor is currently busy receiving positive feedback and appreciation for his role as Chamkila in the biopic, his fans are already awaiting his upcoming projects.
