Director Sanoj Mishra, who offered a film role to the viral girl Monalisa during the Mahakumbh Mela, has been arrested by the police on charges of sexual harassment. Mishra's arrest followed the rejection of his bail plea by the Delhi High Court.

Mishra is accused of repeatedly raping a young woman from a small town who aspired to become an actress. A team from Nabi Karim police station in Central Delhi arrested Mishra in Ghaziabad.

The victim also claims that Mishra forced her to undergo three abortions. In February 2025, the accused allegedly abandoned her and threatened to post her obscene pictures and videos on social media if she filed a complaint.

According to Delhi Police, an FIR was filed on March 6, 2024, against Mishra under multiple sections, including rape, assault, coercion to induce abortion, and intimidation.
