The recently released song ‘Tenu Ki Pata’ from the upcoming project ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood’* has created a wave of excitement, not just for its music but for what it represents. This track marks a surprising yet powerful collaboration between Diljit Dosanjh, one of Punjab’s most loved and globally recognized artists, and Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan and it’s nothing short of iconic.

For years, Punjabi culture in Bollywood was limited to background songs or comic characters. But now, Punjabi and Punjabiyat are taking centre stage, not just as representation but in their real, authentic form. And at the heart of this shift is Diljit, who continues to break boundaries from Coachella to global music charts, and now deep into the heart of Bollywood — showing that Punjabi music is not just regional anymore, it's global.

The release of ‘Tenu Ki Pata’ was followed by a heartfelt message from Shah Rukh Khan himself, who thanked Diljit with warmth and affection, saying,

“A heartfelt thanks and big jhappi to Diljit paaji....you are too kind and sweet. Hope Aryan didn’t trouble u too much. Love u.”

The collaboration also features Ujwal Gupta, rounding out a track that blends voices, cultures, and styles — creating something fresh and exciting.

Diljit later praised Aryan on Instagram, writing:

“Aryan baut hee kamaal ka singer hai... agar music mein aa gaya na toh bata raha hu... BACHO!”

But beyond the music, this moment means so much more. Punjabis across the world — from Canada to America to New Zealand are sending love and pride to Diljit, who has become not just a singer or actor, but a cultural ambassador. He’s making sure the Punjabi language, vibe,
