A case has been registered against Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma following allegations that he used obscene and objectionable language during a stage performance at a college event in Dehradun.
According to police, the complaint relates to an Program held at DAV College, where the singer was performing as part of a student union function on Saturday. Authorities said the case was initiated after videos from the event circulated on social media.
Police said the complaint was filed by Praanchal Nauni, a representative of the student group “Satyam Shivam.” In the complaint, it is alleged that the language used during the performance offended the sentiments of students and members of the public Present at the event.
Officials have not publicly detailed the specific sections under which the case has been registered. The investigation is ongoing.
