Banita Sandhu tests positive for coronavirus, but refuses to get admitted in govt hospital

Bollywood film October fame actor Banita Sandhu has been tested positive for Covid-19.

However, sources in the health department claim that she refused to be treated in a government facility in Kolkata.

Banita, who was shooting for the film Kavita and Teresa, reached Kolkata on December 20 and she travelled in the same flight with the youth who tested positive for the mutant coronaviru strain on his return from the United Kingdom.

According to a health official, Banita Sandhu refused to even come out of the ambulance when she was taken to the Hospital where a separate unit was set up to keep those returned from the UK.

The health officials also informed The British High Commission about this.

She was later taken to a private hospital with the permission of the health department.
