An ‘Anmol’ moment for Anmol Gagan

Anmol Gagan Maan, formerly a prominent Punjabi singer and now a minister in Punjab, married lawyer-businessman Shehbaz Sohi in a traditional ceremony at the Nabha Sahib gurdwara in Zirakpur. The wedding ceremony was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the entire cabinet of ministers, and other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.

Anmol Gagan Maan made her political debut in the 2022 Assembly elections, securing victory from Kharar constituency. She now oversees portfolios related to tourism and culture affairs, investment promotion, labour, grievance redressal, and hospitality.

Before joining politics, Anmol Gagan Maan gained fame as a Punjabi singer with hits like ‘Sherni’, ‘Cola vs Milk’, and ‘Suit’. She actively supported the AAP during its initial foray into state politics by performing in their campaign events. Since 2014, she has been an active member of the party, contributing as a volunteer before assuming an official role.
