Amitabh Bachchan has officially begun shooting for the 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), marking another chapter in the iconic quiz show’s 25-year legacy. The new season, premiering August 11 on Sony Entertainment Television, promises fresh contestants, tougher questions, and special elements to celebrate the show’s silver jubilee.

To commemorate the milestone, the makers have launched a new campaign titled #JahanAkalHaiWahaanAkadHai, aimed at celebrating intellect and the pride that comes with it. According to the show's creators, the premiere episode will not only feature key announcements but also set the tone for what they describe as one of the most anticipated seasons yet.

Bachchan, who has hosted the show since its launch in 2000 (with the exception of one season), shared his thoughts in a heartfelt blog post on the eve of filming. “At work .. early rise, early work .. first day of KBC new season .. and as always .. the nerves .. the shaking knees .. the apprehension,” he wrote, expressing the same excitement and humility that have made him a beloved figure on the show.

KBC 17 will air Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony TV and will also be available for streaming on SonyLIV.
