Alia Bhatt Steps Back Into Production Mode

Alia Bhatt began her journey as a film producer in 2022 with Darlings. She later joined hands with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to co-produce Jigra, and now she’s returning with yet another project. This time, Alia is producing Prime Video’s upcoming original film Don’t Be Shy alongside her sister, Shaheen Bhatt.

Prime Video dropped an announcement video on Instagram for Don’t Be Shy. In the clip, Alia walks viewers through how she and Shaheen landed on the script and shares insights into their experience of producing the film together. The video shows the sisters finally choosing Don’t Be Shy after feeling worn out from reading multiple action-heavy scripts.

Explaining what drew them to the project, they said the film offers a complete emotional package, saying it includes “romance, heartbreak and music” and is “a story you grow up with.”
