Aithya Shetty quits Bollywood

Bollywood veteran Suniel Shetty recently shared heartwarming news that marks a new beginning for his daughter, Athiya Shetty. The actress has decided to step away from the silver screen to embrace what her father lovingly calls "the best role of her life" — motherhood.

Athiya, who made her Bollywood debut alongside Sooraj Pancholi in the 2015 film Hero, never fully immersed herself in the film industry’s hustle. Over the years, she appeared in a handful of projects, including Mubarakan (2017) and a cameo in Nawabzaade. Her last on-screen appearance was in 2019’s Motichoor Chaknachoor opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Now, she's taken on a new starring role — that of a mother. Athiya and her cricketer-husband KL Rahul welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Evaarah, on March 24. The couple introduced her to the world via a tender Instagram post shared on April 18.
