Bollywood’s powerhouse duo, Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, are teaming up once again this time to bring the story of Indian cinema’s founding father, Dadasaheb Phalke, to the big screen.
Set against the backdrop of India’s pre-independence era, the film will chronicle Phalke’s groundbreaking journey from the conception of Raja Harishchandra in 1913 to his tireless pursuit of cinematic excellence in an era when the idea of filmmaking itself was radical.
Sources reveal that Aamir Khan will dive into preparations for the role right after the release of Sitaare Zameen Par. The project is expected to begin filming in October 2025, with development already underway behind the scenes.
