Jay-Z becomes most Grammy-nominated artist
American rapper Jay-Z has become the most nominated artist in the prestigious Grammy Awards history.As per Variety, the 51-year-old singer earned 3 nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, making him the only artist with total of 83 nominations in the history of the prestigious awards.The 64th awards show will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, and will air on CBS and stream live and on-demand on Paramount Plus from 8-11:30 p.m. ET/ 5-8:30 p.m. PT.

Adele's latest album '30' breaks year's top-selling record
To absolutely no one's surprise, British singer and songwriter Adele's new album '30' has now become the top-selling album of 2021, achieving the feat in just three days.According to Variety, initial reports from Billboard suggests that the album, which was released at 12 a.m. ET on Friday, passed the half-million mark on Sunday, topping the total sales of any album released over the past 11 months combined in three days.It squashed the year's previous top-seller, Taylor Swift's 'Evermore', which has 462,000 copies sold through the week ending on November 18.

Delhi gurdwara committee submits complaint against Kangana Ranaut
The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) on Monday submitted a complaint seeking registration of an FIR against film actor Kangana Ranaut in Mumbai alleging that she had used derogatory language against Sikhs in her social media post.In the complaint, the DSGMC said Ranaut had intentionally portrayed the farmers’ protest as a Khalistani movement and also dubbed the Sikh community as Khalistani terrorists.It claimed that she had recalled the massacre of 1984, the official said, quoting the complaint.

Renowned folk singer Gurmeet Bawa passed away at a private hospital on Sunday following a prolonged illness, sending her fans and the music industry into mourning.The 77-year old singer was popularly known as ‘mallika of hek’ and was among the few surviving legendary folk artistes.
