Vir Das receives backlash over viral 'I come from two Indias' monologue
Comedian Vir Das on Tuesday issued a clarification regarding a recently uploaded video on YouTube, titled 'I come from two Indias' that was a part of his recent performance at the John F Kennedy Center in Washington.
The video uploaded by Vir has been doing the rounds on social media that features the comedian talking about 'Two Indias' that he comes from.

Shahrukh Khan's manager summoned second time by Mumbai police
Actor Shahrukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani has sought more time after she was summoned for the second time by the Mumbai police for questioning in the drugs-on-cruise extortion case, police said.
Now, there could be the issuance of a third summon too, the police added.
So far 20 people have recorded their statements in the drugs-on-cruise extortion case, as per the police.

'Miya Bhai' rapper Ruhaan Arshad quits music
Hyderabadi rapper Ruhaan Arshad, who shot to fame after the release of his rap song 'Miya Bhai' in 2018, recently announced that he quit the music industry, saying it is "haraam" (prohibited) in Islam.
On his YouTube channel 'Ruhaan Arshad official', the rapper uploaded a video for his 2.34 million subscribers, in which he announced that he is quitting music after realising it is "haraam" in his religion.
Arshad also urged his followers who had entered into the music industry after being inspired by him, to quit rapping.

Roshan Prince to direct & star upcoming Punjabi film
Punjabi singer and actor Roshan Prince will soon be hitting the big screens with the upcoming film titled ‘Vadhayiyaan Bapu Tenu’. Roshan took to his social media handle to share the details about the film, which he will also be directing.
This will be the first Punjabi feature film to be shot in Winnipeg, Canada and Punjab. Moreover, along with Roshan Prince, the film stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Oshin Brar, Yograj Singh, Karamjit Anmol, Avy Randhawa, Harby Sangha and Malkret Rauni.

Withdraw Kangana Ranaut's Padma Shri, arrest her: Nawab Malik
Maharashtra Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik on Friday demanded that the Centre must withdraw the Padma Shri award from Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for her controversial remarks on the country's Independence and sought her immediate arrest.
"We strongly condemn actress Kangana Ranaut's statement. She insulted freedom fighters. The Centre must take back the Padma Shri from Kangana and arrest her. Looks like Kangana Ranaut took a heavy dose of Malana Cream before making such a statement," said Maharastra Minister.

Actor Sonu Sood announced on Sunday that his sister Malvika Sood will enter politics.
His announcement comes ahead of Punjab assembly polls, which are scheduled to take place next year.
"My sister Malvika will be entering politics. She is ready and I have seen her service to people," said Sood while addressing a press conference. However, no clarity was offered which political party his sister will join.
