Randhawa has raised concerns about alleged technical and financial irregularities in the recruitment drive and internal election procedures of the Shiromani Akali Dal.
Punjab Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has written to the Election Commission, seeking the suspension of the election process scheduled for Saturday by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to elect the party’s president and office bearers.
Randhawa has raised concerns about alleged technical and financial irregularities in the recruitment drive and internal election procedures of the Shiromani Akali Dal. Additionally, he highlighted that the SAD plans to hold a delegate meeting at Teja Singh Samundri Hall in the SGPC complex, which he claims is a direct violation of established rules.
In response, the Shiromani Akali Dal accused Randhawa of acting at the behest of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. The party further alleged that Randhawa’s actions were in coordination with the rebel Akali faction.
