The Punjab government has taken such a decision regarding the government colleges which has started a protest.

According to the information, the state government will give autonomous status to 8 big government colleges, under which these colleges will have to collect funds themselves after getting autonomy and will have to bear all the expenses for running the college themselves.

This means that these colleges will be free to increase the fees. Punjab Congress has strongly condemned this decision of Aam Aadmi Party.
