The Shiromani Akali Dal, the regional party of Punjab, has received a big blow. Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, a senior party leader from Giddarbaha and considered close to Sukhbir Singh Badal, has resigned from all posts.
There is talk of him joining the Aam Aadmi Party. On 28th he will join the party in Giddarbaha in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
According to information, Dimpy Dhillon was upset because Sukhbir Singh Badal did not declare him as a candidate from Giddarbaha constituency. In this constituency, Sukhbir Badal himself has handled the entire election campaign and there is talk of him contesting the election from here.
Dimpy Dhillon stayed with Sukhbir Badal even during his visit but suddenly he resigned from all his positions in the party.
