In Faridkot, a large number of farmers gathered near Shahi Haveli on Kotakpura Highway in Faridkot under the leadership of the farmers' organization 'sanyukt kisan morcha', who were angry with the central government for not accepting their demands, and staged a protest against BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Faridkot, Hansraj Hans.

Farmer leaders gathered for the protest say that the BJP government at the center has not accepted the demands of the farmers and has also banned the peaceful demonstration. Farmers from Punjab were going to Ramlila Maidan in Delhi to stage a peaceful protest, but the farmers were stopped at the Haryana border.
Farmer leaders said that the farmers were subjected to torture which was never done before. Meanwhile, our young farmer was martyred. In such a situation, the way the central government has treated our farmers. We are going to treat BJP candidates in the same way. No BJP candidate will be supported in Punjab. All will be openly protested and questions will be asked about the steps taken against the farmers.
