BSP sever ties with Shiromani Akali Dal

According to sources, the alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal and BSP has broken in Punjab.

However, this was not confirmed by Sukhbir Badal, but BSP's Punjab in-charge Randhir Singh Baniwal has announced after the meeting in Chandigarh that his party will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone in the state.

BSP says that Shiromani Akali Dal is trying to form an alliance with BJP and in such a situation BSP cannot remain with Akali Dal.
