Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not get immediate relief from the Supreme Court. A court in Delhi has reserved the decision on the interim bail petition filed by Kejriwal on medical grounds.
The decision on Kejriwal's interim bail will not come today and due to this he will now have to surrender in Tihar Jail tomorrow. The decision on interim bail will now come on June 5.
It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court granted him bail till June 2. During the hearing, the ED opposed the petition and said that it is necessary to cancel the interim bail as the facts are completely hidden in it.
The ED said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a misleading claim in a press conference on Friday that he would surrender himself on June 2.
The ED lawyers said that this court cannot modify the orders of the Supreme Court. He is on interim bail as the Supreme Court has granted him bail.
