During an interview with Connect FM Canada, Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal expressed his perplexity regarding the concept of nepotism. In a detailed discussion, Gippy elaborated that just as a farmer's child can follow in their parent's footsteps and a doctor's offspring can pursue a medical career, he sees no reason why an artist's child should not have the opportunity to become an artist.
He emphasized that the success of his own children, whether Gurbaaz, Shinda, or Ekam, would depend solely on public acceptance; if they aren't well-received, they won't progress in the industry.
Gippy cited Ranbir Kapoor as an example, noting that despite facing setbacks with several unsuccessful films, Ranbir managed to carve a niche for himself. Gippy highlighted Animal as a pivotal film in Ranbir's career, emphasizing that Ranbir achieved success through his own efforts.
