Connect FM Vaisakhi Cash Give-Away Lucky Draw Contest details and rules

Duration: This contest runs from March 21st to April 20th, 2024, culminating on the day of the Vaisakhi celebration.

Participation in the contest is not contingent upon purchasing anything. All federal, provincial, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

Prizes:

• Grand Prize: $10,000 cash
• Runner-up Prize: $3,000 cash
• Third Prize: $2,000 cash
  

Prizes are non-negotiable and non-transferable.


Contest Details:

• To take part in the contest, you need to enter your name in a lucky draw during Connect On Locations in the month of March and April (before 20 April, 2024). Out of all the entries collected during each Connect On Location, one name will be randomly select who will become a finalist for the Grand Finale;
  
  
• All entries collected at each Connect On Location will be discarded after one finalist is selected and new names will be collected at the next Connect On Location;
  
• At the Grand Finale on 20^nd April, 2024 at the Surrey-Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan, all the finalists will be required to be present at the given time. Failing to be present at the Connect FM stage will result in disqualifying of that finalist and a new name will then be selected. All the games played at the Grand Finale will be only Luck-based, and not skill-based;
  
• At the Grand Finale of the Vaisakhi Cash Lucky Draw, there will be 3 rounds
  • In the 1^st round: all the finalists will be present on the stage. After a short game, 8 names will be eliminated and the remaining lucky contestants will move on to playing the 2^nd Round;
  • In the 2^nd round: the remaining finalists will play another Luck-based game. In this game, only 3 Contestant will get to move on to playing the finale round. All the remaining contestants will be eliminated;
  • In the 3^rd round: all the 3 finalists will be playing a the final game. At the end of the game, 1^st Prize Winner will get a cheque of $10,000; 2^nd Prize Winner will get a cheque of $5,000 and 3^rd Prize Winner will get a cheque of $2,000;
    
    

Winner Requirements: To claim any cash prize, winners must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. All taxes, fees, and other financial obligations related to the acceptance of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 19 years of age and must present Valid Government Issued Photo identification for verification when entering and participating in the contest. Employees of Connect FM, its sponsors, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are not eligible.

Usage Rights: Connect FM reserves the right to use the names, images, and recorded media of all contest participants in any format for its own purposes indefinitely without remuneration.

Technical Difficulties: Connect FM is not responsible for any technical issues encountered during the contest by participants, sponsors, or any other party involved, including problems with phones and computers.

Contest Administration: Connect FM reserves the right to make final decisions regarding participant qualification and all other aspects of the contest. These rules may be amended at any time without prior notice, at Connect FM’s discretion.

Entries: Entries are subject to verification and may be deemed invalid if found to be incomplete, late, misdirected, illegible, or tampered with in any way. Contest entries become the property of Connect FM and will not be returned.

Winner Selection: The winners will be determined on April 20th, 2024, during the Vaisakhi celebration in Surrey. Finalists must be present at the designated event location by a specified time to be eligible for the final draw.

General Conditions: By participating, entrants agree to these official rules and the decisions of Connect FM, which are final. Connect FM reserves the right to disqualify any participant found tampering with the contest process.

Liability: Participants release Connect FM and associated parties from all liability regarding loss, damage, or injury that may arise from contest participation or prize acceptance.

Legal Compliance: All participants agree to comply with legal requirements and contest rules. Disputes will be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, and any legal actions must be filed there.

Changes to the Contest: Connect FM reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including due to technical failures or unauthorized intervention.

Agreement to Rules: Participation in the contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these rules, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.
