Imran Khan to be indicted on Oct. 17 on charges of leaking state secrets

Charges will be framed on October 17 against Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan for allegedly leaking secret political documents.

The court announced this while the hearing of the case officially started today.

The public prosecutor, Imran's lawyer and his party leader Shah Mohammad Qureshi's daughter and son were also present during the hearing in the Rawalpindi court.

Imran was arrested in August in connection with the disclosure of an intelligence political document sent to Pakistan in March last year by Pakistan's embassy in Washington.
