Train derails in southern Germany, At least four dead, many injured

A train derailed in southern Germany on Friday and a number of people have been injured, police said. The train derailed Friday lunchtime in the Burgrain area, near the Alpine resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Five coyotes attack man, dog in south Edmonton

People in Edmonton are being warned to be wary of aggressive coyotes after a man and his dog were attacked by five of the animals in a south Edmonton park. The city says the dog-walker tried to scare the coyotes away but was not able to do so and both the dog and its owner were treated for minor injuries. coyotes attacked a man walking his dog near Thibault Park in Terwillegar around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The city says two of the coyotes that were believed to have been involved have been killed. A city official says there are reports someone has been feeding coyotes in the area.

Covid cases in BC see dip in third continuous week

BC's latest weekly COVID-19 update shows the number of patients in hospital with the illness has declined for a third straight week. It says there were 421 patients in hospital as of yesterday down from 473 a week ago and below the most recent high of 596 on May 12th. Among those hospitalized, 41 people are in intensive care. The report from the B-C Centre for Disease Control says 44 people died during the week that ended last Saturday, bringing the pandemic death toll to three-thousand-547.
